How often should I be cleaning my CPAP supplies?

CPAP Care and Cleaning must be DAILY
Mask Seal/Cushion/Pillows – wiped daily with either a PAP wipe or a cloth with warm soapy water (tap water with a small amount of gentle dish soap), this is necessary to remove oils, sweat and skin cells before use.
Water Chamber – Empty any leftover water daily, rinse with mild soap and water. To prevent the build-up of mineral deposits in your humidifier use only distilled water.

WEEKLY
Water chamber/Mask with headgear/Tubing – soak in warm water and mild dish soap (non-antibacterial) then rinse with fresh water. Place a towel on a flat surface to dry, avoid placing in direct sunlight. These supplies should always be clean, clear and free of discoloration. Avoid using stronger cleaning products, including bleach or CLR, as they may damage the mask or leave harmful residue which you would then be breathing in.
Water Chamber – soak in a solution of 1-part white vinegar and 1-part water for 15-20 minutes.
Headgear – remove from mask and wash in washing machine, let air dry. Do not put in dryer.

MONTHLY
PAP Unit – use a mild soapy solution and apply with a moistened cloth. Unplug the unit before cleaning it. Wipe dry. Allow equipment to dry thoroughly before use.
